All along the summer 2022, discover one of the most typical element of the South Haute-Vienne heritage : finials.
From the 8th july to the 30th september, travel through the finials country, with 3 themes in 3 cultural structures of the territory :
• The know-hows at the Atelier-Musée de la Terre
After her artist residency at Puycheny in 2021, Mathilde Sauce spotlights the local terracotta and the natural colors of the clay. Her creations are an homage to the old workers in Puycheny.
• The contemporary at the Musée & Jardins Cécile Sabourdy
This old presbytary from the XVIIth century shows the Mathilde Sauce’s colored and spectacular finials. Discover the new finial through this contemporary creations.
• The tradition at the l’Office de Tourisme Briance Sud Haute-Vienne
The Office’s showroom promotes the Mariette Cousty’s and Mathilde Sauce’s works. Here, the artists have worked on the history of this famous roof object.
The 8th July, come to the opening and vernissage of the exhibition at the Atelier-Musée de la Terre.
